My research is on the systematics and taxonomy of Asclepiadoideae (Apocynaceae, Gentianales). The main focus is on the species description and genus delimitation within the primarily tropical tribe Marsdenieae. In teaching, I coach students in courses on the evolution and biodiversity of land plants and guide botanical excursions into the flora of special sites around Bayreuth.
